As part of the “48 Hours Neukölln” project, Sergio Hernandez Bernal transformed a wall on the ground floor of the Neukölln Arcades shopping center into a striking work of art in September 2024. He also redesigned the long, narrow corridor leading to the customer restrooms, adding bold accents that blended harmoniously with the existing orange wall.

His artwork was applied using self-adhesive wallpaper – layer by layer, over several nights. This resulted in a visual experience that captivates not only with its vibrant colors but also with its interactivity: an app brought the mural to life in augmented reality.

Sergio’s art connects the analog and digital worlds – making everyday life in the center a unique experience.
