Young Perspectives as part of “Neukölln Feels Art”: Exhibition “Imaginary Home”

July 16 – July 28, 2025

The exhibition “Imaginary Home”, initiated by the Neukölln district office, was opened in the Neukölln Arcades and features impressive works of art by students from the Konrad-Agahd-School, Theodor-Storm-School and Fritz-Karsen-School.

What does “home” mean in a constantly changing metropolis? Especially for young people whose everyday lives are characterized by continuous change and ever-new construction sites, like those on Karl-Marx-Straße? The exhibition “Imaginary Home” offers very personal and creative answers to this question. It provides a unique glimpse into the lives and imaginative worlds of Neukölln schoolchildren, who express their ideas of security, protection, and belonging through textile works, installations, and short animations.
