48 Hours Neukölln 2025
As a long-standing partner of the festival, the Neukölln Arcaden once again transformed into a vibrant art hotspot, offering a unique platform for creativity in the heart of the district.
The festival took place from 27 to 29 June under the theme “WTF (What The Fact?) Between Truth and Perception”, spanning more than 250 locations across Neukölln. At the center of the presentation were three art spaces activated this year. A particular highlight was the exhibition by artist Emma Adler, which was part of the new festival format “Perspectives”, designed to support emerging talents and bring artistic works into a more intensive dialogue. The exhibition was curated by Leonie Rösler and Marlene Sicherschmidt, who were also present at the preview.
Further exhibitions included “Milieutausch” by Ágnes Molnár, the project “Awake & Aroused: What the Fact” by the artist collective around Athalia Altmann and Alexandr Luc, as well as “Ankunft” by Gökçe Balcı. The exhibition space also became a stage for the interdisciplinary project “Transdiaspora” by the collective of the same name.
Festival director Katarzyna Nowak emphasized: “The Neukölln Arcaden are an extremely important and reliable partner for 48 Hours Neukölln, enabling us to make art accessible at a highly frequented public location. The new format ‘Perspectives’, featuring Emma Adler’s exhibition here at the Neukölln Arcaden, was a wonderful example of how we can jointly support young talents while exploring the festival theme in depth.”
